Lowrider Bikes

Lowrider bikes are a great, stylish, and fun type of bike.  You get away from that standard feel and look of a standard bike, and you definitely make a statement and get attention when riding this around.  Some people though, collect and build these types of bikes for show just like some people build hot rods and other types of muscle cars just for show and not for daily use.  The great thing about these is that you can be very creative with them and have a very unique look unlike a standard bike, which you can only do so much on.

With lowrider bikes, you can do so many things to them from the trim, wheels, seat, handle bars, all the way down to the tires.  Some people have even gone as far as using actual gold trim for the spokes and frame.  Talk about an expensive bike huh?  There are contests all the time for you to show off your custom bike and try and take home that first place prize that everyone dreams of getting.  If you are trying to get a visual of what these bikes look like, think of those old lowrider cars that basically touch the road that they drive down.  It is pretty much the same concept, except that this is a bicycle, but it still gives off that feel and vibe that the car gives off when being drove around.

As I stated earlier, yes you can just buy or build one of these bikes just to ride around on and get all the attention and head turns as you go down the street.  I personally have not ridden one so I can’t tell you if it is comfortable or not, but I would think that you would just ride these for show and short distances.  You definitely wouldn’t want to take one of these on a road trip, as your knees and back would probably fall apart on you!  Whatever you choose to use this bike for, I think it is a great choice if you are looking for something unique and sure to get attention from.  Just remember to lock your bike up when not around it.  The last thing you want to happen is spend a lot of time on it to have it get stolen down the road.
